Key Responsibilities:

  • Dishwashing and Sanitation:
    • Operate dishwashing machinery to clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
    • Manually wash and scrub items as needed, including heavy-duty pots and pans.
    • Ensure all items are cleaned thoroughly and dried before storing them in appropriate locations.
    • Regularly inspect and maintain dishwashing equipment for optimal performance.
  • Maintenance of Work Area:
    • Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized at all times.
    • Ensure the proper disposal of waste and recycling materials.
    • Maintain cleanliness of floors and walls in the dishwashing area to adhere to health and safety standards.
    • Follow proper chemical handling procedures and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Support Kitchen Operations:
    • Assist in maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and garbage removal.
    • Help with basic food preparation tasks when required, such as peeling vegetables or preparing ingredients.
    • Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure a smooth workflow and timely cleaning of necessary items.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Follow all restaurant policies and procedures regarding sanitation and safety.
    • Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Kitchen Manager promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bilingual a plus!
  • Reliable transportation. 

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to hot and humid environments.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Handling sharp and potentially hazardous equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation and Cooking:
    • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards.
    • Work in various stations.
    • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes during service hours.
    • Adjust recipes to account for customer allergies or dietary restrictions as needed.
  2. Kitchen Operations:
    • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients.
    • Follow proper cooking techniques and procedures to ensure consistency.
    • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Assist with the preparation of ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, cutting  meat, and preparing sauces.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
    • Adjust seasoning and presentation as needed.
  4. Sanitation and Safety:
    • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
    • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
    • Store food items properly to prevent spoilage and contamination.
    • Report any safety or maintenance issues to the BOH Manager.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
    • Communicate effectively with the Lead Cook and BOH Manager.
    • Assist with inventory management and notify the BOH Manager of low stock levels.
  6. Additional Responsibilities:
    • Assist with the training of new kitchen staff.
    • Participate in menu planning and development as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Cook or BOH Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • This position requires standing for extended periods and working in a hot, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and moving heavy objects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Reception: Greet guests as they arrive with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Ensure each guest feels acknowledged and valued.
  • Seating Management: Manage reservations and walk-ins, efficiently coordinating seating arrangements to maximize table turnover while maintaining a smooth flow of service.
  • Reservation Handling: Handle phone calls for reservations, cancellations, and inquiries about the restaurant. Maintain an organized digital reservation system.
  • Waitlist Coordination: Manage the waitlist during busy periods, provide accurate wait times, and keep guests informed about their table status.
  • Menu Presentation: Present menus to guests, explain specials, and provide information on menu items when needed.  Providing guests with chips and salsa prior to seating them. 
  • Customer Service: Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously. Ensure guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a tidy and organized host/hostess station and front entrance area. Ensure menus are clean and presentable.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and a positive dining experience for all guests.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all restaurant policies, health, and safety regulations. Follow protocols for handling guest information and privacy.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Appearance: Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Technology: Familiarity with reservation and point-of-sale systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with hosts, bussers, kitchen staff, and other servers to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
  • Upselling: Suggest additional menu items, beverages, or desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all restaurant policies, health, and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including server stations and dining areas.

Qualifications:

  • Back-of-House Support: Assist with restocking server stations, organizing and replenishing supplies, and communicating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to food safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Certifications: Food Handlers Certificate and TABC required.
